WELCOMEI am a sociologist with research and teaching specialties in race/ethnicity, gender, intersectionality, African American history and political ideology, popular culture, qualitative methods, and applied statistics.
I earned my doctorate in sociology with a concentration in race, ethnicity, and gender from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Currently, I work on the Race and Ethnicity Research team at Pew Research Center, focusing on race, Black communities, and religion. I am formerly an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. |
