The importance of birth times
Effective astrological readings require accurate birth information: the exact date, hour, minute and city of your birth. This is because your chart and its meaning depend on the precise location of the sun, moon and planets at the time you were born.
The planets are always moving and they cycle through the signs of the zodiac at very different speeds. The sun and inner planets, like Mercury and Mars, are fast and change signs every month or two. The outer planets, like Jupiter and Pluto, are slow and take anywhere from 1 to 30 years to change signs.
However, rising signs change every 1-2 hours and moon signs change every 1-2 days. Therefore, incorrect birth times can yield an incorrect rising sign and an incorrect moon sign. Those are 2 of the 3 most important parts of your chart. Therefore, a reading with no birth time or an inaccurate time may not resonate with your lived experiences.
How to track down your birth time:
If possible, use your birth certificate or ask a parent/loved one about your exact birth time. If they do not know the exact time, ask about the time of day. Was it early, middle or late in the morning, afternoon, evening or night? For example, if you were born in the evening, is 7pm a better estimate or 10pm?
Remember, rising and moon signs change very quickly. 7pm and 10pm birth times can have the same sun sign (e.g. Scorpio), but a 7pm birth time will have a different rising sign than the 10pm time. And depending on where we are in the moon cycle, the moon may have changed signs between 7pm and 10pm as well. In the absence of a precise birth time, good estimates are still very important.
If you cannot track down your birth time, we can still discuss your sun sign and the other slower moving planets, but the reading will be severely limited in terms of its ability to fully describe your life and your soul's intention. Carefully consider if you want to pay for that.
While it is outside of my skill set, there are professional astrologers who can perform a process known as rectification to figure out your birth time.

Note: Unfortunately, I do not offer readings to current or former co-workers or to my former students. Astrology charts are deeply personal and I would like to maintain the respectful boundary between private and professional.
